Severn Trent Water has awarded an AMP7 electricity meter operator contract worth £1.36 million.

The contract covers meter operator services for both Severn Trent Water and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy electricity meters.

The contract was tendered via the UVDB qualification system.

Bristol-based company WPD Smart Metering has been awarded the contract, one of four firms in the running for the work.
